Laying first solid wood floor

by thisismyusername » Sat May 02, 2020 9:40 am

So since we're locked up I decided to lay my first solid wood floor; we had quite a lot of bits left over and the room is a relatively small study.

All was going well. I started at the far end of the room, laying and glueing the boards and working my way towards the door as I went. I'm now at the door, and I've undercut the architrave, inserted the piece of flooring under the door on the right hand side...

Now of course I can't slot the piece of flooring in to the left side; I need to push it forward, then left for it to go under the architrave. How do people normally get around this issue? Please help, otherwise I'm stuck with a 90% done floor.
