Laying Membrane Before Re-Felting Shed Roof

by Bodger999 » Wed Oct 08, 2014 6:28 pm

The felt on my 8/6 shed has failed.
As a temporary measure I've covered it with some heavy duty plastic membrane.

How about, after stripping the old felt off, I put the membrane down first before I lay the new felt, so it acts as a second layer of waterproofing.

Thoughts....

The plastic will sweat in the heat causing it to rot the wood, I would remove it first
