lead pipes

Hi all i want to change my bathroom suite, basin has lead pipes .want to use plastic push fits, can they go to lead, if not could you offer better way.

Hi,

Are all your water pipes lead? If not come off some copper further upstream in plastic.
If all lead you can cut it at a convenient point and use a ' lead lock' fitting which will enable you to convert the lead to copper/plastic.
You will need the diameter of lead to get the right fitting.

Do you mean the water supply pipes or the drainage pipes?
