leak in combi boiler

by muppet » Sun Nov 11, 2007 10:49 pm

the pressure on my combi boiler drops from 1 to 0 in 2 hours, its been doing this for a while now, does this mean i have a leak? if i do have a leak i have concrete floors how do i find it? could i connect the flow and return pipes from the boiler together and cut the cental heating out all together so that i can use the hot water, or do i need to add the radiators, thanks Geoff

check pressure relief discharge pipe make sure this isn't passing. Also check pressure gauge when heating is on, if on 1.0 when cold should not go any higher that 1.5 - 2.0 bar when hot. If it does it may be a fault with expansion vessel.
