Leaky shower tray

Postby dinkydunc » Thu Oct 21, 2010 8:54 pm

Hello. I moved into an old house with an old bathroom. When the shower conked out I swapped it with a new power shower. I was using this for a while until I noticed water coming through the ceiling of the room below the bathroom. The effect had been hidden in the bathroom due to carpetting. I removed the carpet and found the shower tray leaking all round. I had the shower tray up and removed the cubicle, retiled around the base of the shower and replaced the cubicle. Since I've resealed the cubicle, things are better but it still leaks at the corners of the cubicle where it meets the tiled walls. Can't for the life of me see why - any ideas? Thanks Duncan
