Lighing below a bathroom

by MartinC » Sun Jan 11, 2009 8:15 pm

Do I need to purchase IP65 or IP68 light fitting when placing lights in the floor void below a bathroom? I need to light the room below but cannot find and info on this.

So long as from the bathroom you can't access lights without a tool or key then there is no problem assuming all other considerations are taken into account like no combustible material within 500mm unless specially manufactured to allow this.
When you say "In floor void" fire needs to be considered.
