light fitting

:? Hi hope you can help. I was given a new light to put in my kitchen. I have followed all the instruction in your light fittings page and still to no success. I have put all red cables into one connector and one black cable into live feed and other black cables into neutral feed, i have tried each balck cable in the live and now i seem to be running off the bathroom light, Please help i have been here all day :oops:

What cables do you have coming from the ceiling void?
Did the light work before you fitted this, or are you replacing because it stopped working?
Other things to check
Switch is connected correctly with no loose terminals.
The feed may well come from another light fitting in a room nearby, so check there are no loose terminals in the ceiling rose of that light.
