lining and decorating my summerhouse.

Post by ollies41 » Sun Sep 16, 2007 10:21 am

Hiya,
I'm a newby to this forum, so you may have to be patient with me, soz.
I have a timber summer house on a concrete base in my garden. (3.5m x 2.5m) I am wanting to line the room and decorate it so i can use it to study throughout the year.
I am wondering if anyone has any tips for me. I have lots of rockwool insulation, and plasterboard, but thats about it so far. Is it just a case of lining with rockwool, fixing over plasterboard, then papering. Sorry if i sound a bit daft, but i don't want to make a mess of it. It'll be a bit of a budget project too, so i can't afford to get the professionals in i'm afraid.
Any tips would be welcome.
Thanks
Sam

I'm doing the same thing myself. I have lined the inner surface of the roof and walls with plastic membrane to act as a damp resisting layer. After that it was the rock wool then plasterboard sheeting.
I'm also going to be plastering it, purely for practising plastering where it doesn't matter if I make a hash of it.
