load bearing stud wall

hi. i need some expert advice. I have a load bearing stud wall in my bedroom, i want to close the existing doorway/opening and make a new doorway opening in the same wall. is it possible to do this? whats the best way to close the existing doorway? whats the best way to make new door opening? any advice would be great and much appreciated. many thanks

its highly unlikely the stud wall is load bearing. BUT ask the advise of a local builder before starting work. If everything is ok, then you could re use the timber you take out from the new opening to fill in the old one
