I am looking to find out if there is any reason the ‘outdoor’ unit of an air conditioning/heating system couldn’t be placed within a large open warehouse.
Fairly centrally located within the warehouse (approx 5,500sqft) we have a self contained office (approx 800sqft). As the offices are quite some way from any external walls, it would be convenient to place the ‘outdoor’ units for the system within the warehouse instead.
The company quoting on the system components are keen to supply miles and miles of extension pipe and much larger outdoor units to cope with the distance.
The units could be high up out of the way in area without anyone working.
Would this be a safe installation?
