Lockout on Vokera Maxin 24e

Post by cally » Wed Sep 26, 2007 8:02 pm

The lockout light keeps coming on several times a day. You can not leave heating on whilst away in Winter as it will not work as it stays in lockout. I have had several engineers out over 2 years but none have been able to solve the problem. Please help!

Could be a few things:

Could be a faulty over heat thermostat.

Does the boiler overheat, would you say the radiators and water get too hot, or hotter than normal ? could be faulty thermostat.

Does the boiler light eveytime ? the ignition lead or spark electrode may be at fault.

Has the boiler been serviced lately ? the flame sensing electrode may not be sensing the flame.

Does the boiler pressure drop regularly or does the boiler bang.

Boiler lights first time when it is timed to come on but after about 30 mins it goes into lockout. Sometimes have to wait a while before button can be reset. Boiler has been service for the past 2 years.

Lockout

The boiler lights first time when on timer but after 30 mins it may go into lockout. Sometime it takes a while before lockout light can be reset and sometimes it takes a few time pressing the reset button before it is ok again. No banging can be heard. Think water and radiator are hotter than when heating is not on in the summer.
Thanks for your reply
