Loose Bath Plug Fitment Causing Bath to Empty

Postby jupiterbonkers » Tue Oct 16, 2018 6:16 pm

The fitting around the plug itself is so loose that it causes a full bath to empty within 15 minutes. It moves very easily, and makes a weird high pitched sound if I jostle it while in the bath, likely from the pressure of the water wanting to escape through the gap. If I press it into place the noise goes away.

As someone who takes hour-long baths this is very frustrating! I rent this accommodation, so the ideal thing would to not have to get anyone official in so as not to incur the wrath of my landlord. Any diy tips, anything I, a person with very limited knowledge of plumbing, can do to fix this issue??

Thanks in advance.
