Loud Potterton Lynx 2

by nick6950 » Thu Mar 15, 2007 1:29 pm

I have a Potterton Lynx to which makes a very loud noise when you turn off the hotwater and then shows the reset light. Any one else have a solution?

I have a feeling that it may be the central heating switch or the air vent as the loud noise saeems to be coming from the vent at the very top of the boiler.

Anyone help please.

sounds to me that the boiler may be overheating , this may be that the diverter valve may be sticking which doesnt allow the excess heat to be disapated.
