LV light failing/intermittant

by sgoldswo » Wed Oct 31, 2007 4:11 pm

I have LV lighting set up (including a dimmer) in the kitchen of my new house and I have a problem with one of the lights. The light in question often doesn't come on when the rest of the bulbs are turned on, but will turn on for about 5 minutes after I toggle the dimmer to minimum and back to maximum. After 5 minutes the light in question goes out. I've tried switching the bulbs to no avail and there is nothing immediately obvious that is wrong with the socket.

Does anyone have any ideas?

Sounds like the transformer (assuming they are individual) is at fault or at least my not be suitable for dimming.
As for par P, not too sure as I left England before it came into force, but I think light are covered if they are in a kitchen or bathroom, but don't take that as gospel.
