My radiators werent heating up today so I took the pump to be checked and this is fine. I have cleared the Radiators thinking there may be sludge build up and nothing. I cannot find the pressure gauge for the life of me so that I can check this out. Hot water isnt working now either. Can anyone please help???
Boiler is Main 7 and radiators are connected with feed and release pipes. Boiler in airing cupboard is made by gandalf.
Thank you for your message yes, I have done all of the following:Pilot light is on, boiler is fire up, electric is on at the boiler, room thermostats and boiler stat are turned up also.
I'm puzzled. I have also bled all of them and have cleaned them all out yesterday so no sludge build up.
Think there has to be a prob with the pump but cannot work out what?
Upstairs heating is good now and water is heating up, but no central heating downstairs at all.
think will have to be a job for British Gas unless anyone can shed any light?
Thanks again mate for your help, if you have any ideas they will gladly be received.
if upstairs radiators are heating and so is the water - then yes it is a problem with the pump. Replacing the pump and clearing any airlocks will solve any problems you've been having.
spangela you say you have had the pump checked? so im assuming its not the problem could it be that the system neds to be balanced or more like an air lock
