Make a pimplyceiling smooth

All of the ceilings have a pimply finish to them. We would like to paint over them with something thick enough to leave a smooth finish.

Any Suggestions?

The ceilings will need skimming. I doubt theres any products which will give you the desired smooth finish. Hope this helps.
