Metal Screen for UPVC door frame

Postby Greek » Fri Apr 22, 2022 5:17 am

Hi All,

So I've got a metal door screen with a bar strip along the top that would normally be hooked onto whatever that would be attached to the top of the door. However, our back door is UPVC and I'm not sure if it's safe to drill into din the normal way that you'd drill into other surfaces, although I'm betting someone will know a way of doing it so I'm hoping I'll get some advice. I've attached pics below if that'll help.

Regards
Yvonne

Well I'm trying to attach pics, but not used to doing it on a windows laptop. Try and get them to you if you need to see them

Simply Build It

Hi greek,
Your screen should have been supplied with brackets which are screwed to the door frame. The screen then lifts onto the brackets and it can be easily removed. Fix the brackets by screwing straight into the upvc frame.
