Mirror light in bedroom dressing room

Post by punchy123 » Mon Jul 27, 2020 9:44 am

Hello All, I am adding a dressing room area to my daughters bedroom, she will have a big mirror and wants those fancy lights around it. There is a ring main double socket near it. Can I take a FCU spur from the socket to use as the switch for these lights. Obviously fused down.

Providing the cable to the FCU is the same size cable as that which supplies the socket, yes.

Alternatively put a plug and flex on the light and plug it in.
