Mounting Gymnast Wall Bars Securely to a Wall

by Pedro72 » Fri Nov 01, 2019 3:28 pm

Hi,

I’ve just bought the daughter some all bars, (you know the type they have in schools) as she’s a budding gymnast and needs them for training.

What I need to know is the best most secure way of mounting them on the wall. They are around 40-50kg plus daughters weight I need to know they are secure and aren’t going to come loose while she’s using them. I’ll be screwing them into a breeze block wall.

Thanks P.

You don't say if the frame comes down to the floor as this will help a lot. Also, is it an internal wall or external you are fitting to. Breeze block is not the strongest stuff to fix to. For this type of thing i would look at drilling through the wall & put some threaded studding through the wall & put a 4" plate on the other side & a nut, & this would be times by the amount of fixings you need.
