Moving Manhole

by ping » Tue Mar 24, 2009 3:21 pm

I am about to start building an extension I want to move the manhole 1 meter as it is inside the extension. The exising soil drops into the top of the main sewer waste in a 90 degree bend. I need to cut install a y branch and join into the existing main waste pipe to install the manhole are there products to do this. The house is about 1900's.
Also the existing soil will need to be replaced and extra bends installed to pick up the y branch running away from the extension to bring it back to the house is this ok to do :?

"is this ok to do :?"

Provided your friendly local Building Inspector says so.
