My sliding aluminium patio door is locked shut. The lock itself appears to operate correctly, however the lever mechanism does not seem to do anything. It was stiff before but working. Now when the lever is moved to the open position there is no resistance at all, almost like its not catching anything.It means I cant get the door open. My next thought was to snap the lock itself out and remove the retaining screw in the hope that would help in some way with the lever.
Any advice appreciated
