My wardrobe rail is failing!

Post by Diyfailure1 » Sun Nov 22, 2020 7:07 pm

Hi
I’m really sorry in advance as it won’t let me add photos.
I have a built in wardrobe with a long pole in. It is connected upward to the original beam at one end and the wall at the other end. It had one support bracket connecting to the ceiling inbetween and my clothes were on this for 5 years with no issue but then the whole thing fell down taking the ceiling with it! We’ve had it replastered and added a support bracket connected to the wall behind instead. I haven’t even put a third of the clothes that were on it and it is pulling away the plaster on the wall behind. How on earth do I fix it so I have a working wardrobe rail again? Please help!
