Unfortunatly not. The heads on the nails fired from the gun are too small to hold the plasterboard to the battens. Either plasterboard nails(40mm) or plasterboard screws(40mm. Treated black screws that wont rust) are the only safe option....but you can buy a battery or electric screw gun which takes screws on a link belt. A bit like a machine gun. This also sets the depth of the screws and doesnt need reloading too often....Hope this helps..Leo
