I have had an electric tile cutter for several years. It has a guard that sits behind the wheel. Bought a new wheel recently of correct size and bore. However the new wheel seems to be fractionally narrower than the previous one. End result is that the tile being cut cannot be pushed beyond the guard because it fouls on the guard as the piece of tile cut out is narrower than the guard. Previously the cut tile could be pushed through and past the guard.
Are there different thicknesses of wheel? I have never seen thickness specified. Only size and bore.
check the guard support bracket is not bent or misaligned .Lay a straight edge against the fitted blade it should match up with the guard support bracket. Cut part way through a tile turn machine off stand from the back of the machine now see if the slot you just cut into the tile moves freely through the support bracket. Also bearings in the motor may have a little play so try a bit of a wriggle with tile when cutting to see if you can push the tile through.
