New Gas Fire for Traditional Cast Iron Surround

by Scott_bage » Sun Jan 14, 2018 5:11 pm

Hi all,
I’m looking for advice on what type of gas fire would fit / suit my traditional cast iron surround. We’re doing some heavy duty renovations but would like to save the fire surround...any ideas what we should buy to put in the opening??

Fire surround dimensions:
1180h x 890w (outside) - 1065mm across mantel piece
780h x 400w (opening), there are removable grills (not shown) which are located at 220mm from the base and 635mm from the base.

Wall opening (which can be changed to suit):
670h x 450w - the opening is 150mm off the current floor level
