There are lots of sites out there that sell LED lighting now but also shops are starting to push them quite a bit as they are more eco-friendly and also a lot more durable.

We just installed LED spotlights in our living room and bedroom and actually it's not as hot as I thought it would be as we have a dimmer connected. Make sure you get the right wattage though and fitting for any shades or lamps you are trying to use them with!
