New lights

by djslim » Mon Jul 16, 2007 12:03 pm

My conservatory has one outside wall light in it which is wired to a fused spur containing a 3Amp fuse. This spur is connected to the kitchen socket ring main which is governed by a 30mA breaker at the consumer unit. My question is I wish to remove the old light and add a switched radial for 6 mains voltage halogen downlighters 50w max per light. Is it safe to connect to this up to the spur or do I need to access the downstairs lighting circuit.

Any help greatly apreciated.
