Just replacing my bathroom during lockdown due to a shower tray leak
Installed a new thermostatic bar shower from Tecaz. plumbed it with hot to the left,cold to right as per book.
Problem is I have no hot water at shower and boiler doesn’t kick in unless I turn a tap on in the house anywhere. It then starts to draw hot water in the shower.
all taps are fine just the new shower.
I’ve replaced the thermostat valve after speaking with tech support, right hand side valve via Tecaz. No change, still cold. they are now saying they’ve never seen this before and to check water pressure is equal on hot and cold
I installed an isolation valve below shower in garage roof so I tried to drop the cold flow with that but no change.
any ideas, I’m baffled
Thought it would just work
Used to have a mixer Victorian style shower before this, so similar
