No hot water coming through my combination boiler

Post by Ali84 » Fri Jul 13, 2007 7:34 pm

Hello.

My fiance and I are having problems with our combination boiler.
For some reason the boiler has stopped letting out hot water.

There is only hot water coming through the tap's when my fiance puts the heating on?

Can you explain a reason for this? And how we can fix it please??

Thank you! :)

Hi, I too have experienced this problem, mainly during the summer months. The way that I have overcome this in the past on my boiler is to run the heating for a while, say 10 min.

This always works for me, but it may not be a fix for you but worth a try.

Not sure as to what causes this, as i am not a plummer

Yeah, it's a classic symptom of a faulty diverter valve. Unless you're a corgi registered gas installer I wouldn't try to change it yourself.
