Noisy pipes when using taps All aspects of plumbing questions and answers, help, tips and information

Whenever we turn taps on and off, or flush, we are getting a 'knocking' noise in the pipes. Have tried turning the stopcock up and down to ses if that will alter the water pressure and make a difference, but no joy. Any ideas please?

Clip pipework and try to avoid pipework touching each other.
