Noisy Toilet and Vibrating Pipe That Feeds into Toilet

by Caralara » Fri Jun 21, 2019 2:18 pm

Hi All,
I really need your help if possible. Our push button toilet uses water from a cold water tank in loft. Recently the pipes feeding the toilet have started to make vibrating or strange noises. A plumber changed the inlet float valve and also the stop cock in the tank in the loft. I have switched off the main stop cock connected to mains and run all of the taps, flushed toilet in case there is an air lock but nothing seems to work. If I turn off the valve on the pipe feeding the toilet the noise/vibrations stop. If I turn the valve on the noises and vibrations start. The cold tap in a nearby bath runs of the water tank in the loft but nothing vibrates when this tap is used (it is all a bit random and we are finding these things are we go along). Does anyone have any ideas?
This is doing mu head in a bit now. Have a good day all.

Probably the water fill valve in the toilet, similar to the ballvalve that's been changed in the tank.
