One or two pipe CH system?

by Iestyn » Sat Jun 06, 2009 9:59 pm

I have a one pipe system in my new house. Will it be as efficient as a two pipe system? The boiler looks a little old. Will a new boiler operate a one pipe CH system?

Single pipe installations are hopelessly inefficient and the design was abandoned years ago. Certainly a new boiler will work in a single pipe system, but it makes sense to convert to a two pipe if the boiler is being replaced.
