one rad is always cool

hi

i've got one rad that is always cool compared to the other ones that are hot. it only gets hot when i turn all the others off. what could be causing this problem any ideas

Could be a couple of things, maybe a blockage in the pipes. But I think the system just need balancing.

By balancing the system all radiators should heat to a similar temperature. You can do this by turning down all other radiators slightly and the problem one should heat.

Turn the wheelhead valves of the all radiators off, then open 3 or 4 turns.

You could check pump speed setting, and maybe turn it up. The pump may not be as powerful as it used to be.

Is the problem radiator, the one furthest away from the boiler ?

yes the rad is the furthest one away from the boiler should that make a difference
