Outside PIR lighting

by hammers » Sun Jan 27, 2008 12:48 pm

Have purchased Homebase 60W PIR lantern but wiring has come adrift from terminal block. I have brown yellow and blue wires. But also, a blue covered in black and a red which is joined to a brown and covered).

Not sure how these go into the terminal block. Can anyone help - sorry about poor description of current wiring.

POSSIBLY

usually live on brown,
If you look close it goes to sensor then back on red to join to lampholder,

blue is neutral
look close a neutral also goes to sensor as well as lampholder ,
usually blue or black

If yellow is on the casing I assume its green and yellow earth
