Painting Corona Pine Furniture to Refresh it - Advice Needed

Postby bankstreetgirl » Wed Jan 14, 2015 11:27 am

Hi, I'm looking for some help please. I have some Corona pine furniture that is starting to look tired, and I'm also really bored with it and needing a change! So I want to paint it cream but having never painted furniture before thought it best to get some advice first. I'm assuming that I'll need to sand it down first, use a primer and then paint it??

Any advice gratefully received, thanks.

Hi Bankstreetgirl,
Here's a great project for you to get some ideas about the effect that you can achieve:

If you are going to stick with your Cream theme, then these effects might not be so useful! Here's some information about priming surfaces before painting which will be helpful: ... inting.htm

Post a picture of the before and after, as it would be fantastic to see how you get on!
