Painting Emulsion over Satinwood Paint on Wall

Post by Fairford » Tue Feb 23, 2016 3:53 pm

Hi,

I used water based satinwood paint to touch up a wall rather than emulsion. Can I just paint over the satinwood with emulsion or do I need some sort of sealer first?

Just clean down the wall with some Grime Go to make sure there are no fingerprints etc on the wall (they contain grease) https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/DIY-superst ... ottle.html

Then rub over very gently with some fine sand paper.

Then apply the emulsion
