is it possible to paint amtico wood laminate strip flooring. i would like to give it a french whitewashed effect. there is nothing wrong with the floor - i just don't like it!

Unless it's real wood the answer is no. Laminate flooring is usually surfaced with something like silicone dioxide and paint will not stick to it.
