Painting over light purple matt emulsion

by stev1962 » Wed Sep 14, 2011 2:38 pm

Hi Everyone,
I have just started painting white matt emulsion over light purple in my bathroom and I am now on my third coat without the end in sight! Its just not covering it. Should I be using another sort of paint? This dulux matt emulsion just doesn't seem thick enough. Can anyone advise me please. help?

Most reds, purples and blues have die in them meaning its harder to cover.3 coats should be sufficient. If not try undercoat and 2 coats of white matt. Crowns covamatt is great for this aswell.
