Parque wooden floor on existing tiles w/ underfloor heating

Postby rorymacmillan » Mon Nov 03, 2008 2:24 pm

I am installing a wooden floor (engineered) on top of the existing tile flooring beneath which there is underfloor heating. Will installing the wood on top of the tiles, with a thin layer of concrete to hold it firm, reduce the efficiency of the heating -- with the wood acting as an additional insulator?
