Patio sub-base issues with water ingress

Postby peteski2012 » Sat Jul 13, 2019 1:15 pm

Hi all

Desperately need a little advice on the sub-base I’m laying. Having dug down to the correct depth most of the area is fine and the sub-base will go down nicely. The issue is the 1sq foot pool of water that (having removed about 8.inches of clay) has now filled. How on earth do I get around this??? What was going to be a very simple addition of four flags to the edge of our bin area has now become a pain in the neck. I’ve dug down to solid earth which is now at the bottom of the 4 inch deep pool but what do I do to fill the pool? Should I just fill it with MOT1?
Thanks
