placement of a loo

by goose » Sat May 17, 2008 11:26 pm

I'm trying to arrange may bathroom, one of the plans I have come up with sites the loo under a window, the window sill is about 3 1/2ft off the floor. The window has obscured glass but a few people have said not to put the loo under a window.

Is it something that most people would disagree with doing?

I am quite stuck for space though!

thanks,

I know of no regulation that stops you from putting the WC under a window provided the cistern will fit.

I have seen this situation on several installations over the years, but even so personally would avoid it where possible. Nobody wants to be seen sitting on the loo, even if it is behind obscure glass. Still, it's up to you.
