Hi,
Firstly i'm new to plasterboarding. I'm looking to plasterboard onto brick wall, as I am building a small home gym. What type of plaster board is best for this project and how would i go about fixing the board straight to a brick wall?
Would i need a timber frame etc...?
Assuming the walls are dry and in good condition, then normal 9.5mm or better still, 12.5mm square edged boarding will be fine. Dot and dab the wall with wall board adhesive (Looks like plaster) and stick the boards to the brickwork. Easy! Leaves about 1/2" gap, but is an easy way for a novice to achieve a level wall with a good finish.
