by garethhay » Mon Jul 14, 2008 3:32 pm

i have removed the old tiles, but found that parts of the wall came away too. i plan on plastering the walls and ceiling (because it is bad) and tilling after.
does this sound ok and do you have any tips?

Hi garethhay,
Of course it's a good idea. My first tip would be, if you've never plastered before it's all about getting the mix and the timing of application of coats and practice is the key.
But i'd suggest you have a look on the projects pages on this website some useful info.
If you have any problems or need a little guidance don't hesitate to report back.

Hi

As Kbrownie suggests, have a look at the DIY projects section. There are projects dedicated to plastering: https://www.diydoctor.org.uk/projects.htm

Cheers
