The carpet near the kitchen units has grubbed in dirt, and so I thought about removing it, and replacing it with something.
I have drawn a line on the photo, to represent the boundary of where the carpet would be removed. Beyond that, I would leave the carpet.
I have bought some real wood topped lamenate flooring, but I don't think it works, colour-wise. I have placed 2 boards down, for illustration purposes.
The carpet is beige, and the kitchen units have been painted barley-white. The kitchen work top is a kind mottled off-white colour, in most places.
I wonder what type/colour of flooring would work best? Any ideas gratefully received. Thanks very much.
