plumbing in new toilet to old down pipe.

by sezza » Tue Feb 17, 2009 11:58 pm

hello.
i was wondering if anyone could help. i'm in the middle of doing up my bathroom and want to replace the old tired suite, i have worked for people replacing bathrooms before but have very limited knowledge.
I want to replace the horrid old loo with a new one however the old one is connected to a metal (slightly rusty) waste pipe, what is the best way of doing this? i cant afford to change the exterior pipework at the moment. so just looking for advice on the best way to tackle this problem.
any help would be much appreciated.
cheers

sezza,
If you don't want to alter the CI pipework you may have to lift the new pan by fitting a pad underneath it and then use something like a multiqwik connector of the appropriate configuration.
end
