Potterton Promax SL 24 Leak Even After Cleaning Condense Trap

by Pablo75 » Thu Mar 15, 2018 1:21 pm

Hi,

Our Potterton Promax SL 24 is leaking.

The leak is coming from the top of the condense trap below the securing nut.

We had a plumber replace the condense trap yesterday as it was full of a sandy type of deposit. They've also serviced the boiler.

The boiler came on this morning and the leak is back.

I've taken the case and the air box door panel off and I can see that it's leaking from the same location again.

The trap is half full of water on the left hand side chamber and the condense drain pipe appears not to be blocked as a drip of water is coming through into our drain.

The leak doesn't appear to be coming from the securing nut as the water is collecting below this on the top of the condense trap - image attached.

Any ideas?

Thanks
