power/pressure washer (petrol)

Postby jaysam110 » Wed Mar 14, 2007 10:19 pm

Hi all
Have just bought a petrol power washer off ebay. Engine starts and runs fine but no water coming out of lance. If I take off lance, water is coming out but only at mains water pressure. Anybody got any ideas what the problem may be. The bloke I bought it off has no idea as he has never used it, there was no hose and lance with it when I bought it, no instructions either and can't find any info/instructions on internet. Made in China by Kingwash.

Take it to your local tool hire shop, they may be able to help you. Also take a look at our power washing decking project.

Could be loads of things:-
First option: check the inlet filter (could be one inline where the suction hose connects to the pump head).

Valves could be passing.
Plungers could be broken/seized.
