Power supply to gas boiler - from a spur?

Post by chris_on_tour2002 » Sat Jan 19, 2008 12:25 pm

just preparing for my new gas boiler to be fitted next week, its a worcester bosch 28i greenstar junior - simple question, would the electrical supply be from a socket spur? i know that it requires a 3amp fused switch so i am assuming that it can be run from a spur. or should it have its own dedicated supply and separate mcb at the consumer unit?

it affects my choice of location.

thanks,

chris

No real reason why is should not be supplied from spur or plug and socket.

location of spur important.
Should be positioned so water that MAY drip from plumbing or equipment will not affect it.
