prep of plasterboards before plasterer comes in

Im doing my kitchen and have taken the tiles of the wall and have filed the holes in as per your topic on this the brown type paper on top of the boards is torn up on top of the actual plaster just want to know whats the best way of preparing these boards before the plasterer comes in?

hi you should pva the boards and allow to dry then this should then be fine to skim the boards
