preparing before plastering or bonding (pva)

does new plasterboard need pva before applying plaster? i seem to pva everything (surface) before plastering is this ok to do

also if im applying bonding over artex that has been painted with mat emulsion will this need pva before applying the bonding?

New plaster will not need pva prior to skimmimg
And as for your artex might be a good idea to bond that, just to stablise any loose or defective areas .

what i mean is will the artex need pva before i bond it?

and im talking about new or old plasterboard does that need pva

Artex will need PVA plasterboard will not.
